Improv Workshop with Brian Kohatsu

Workshop Description: Introduction to improv comedy.

Learn the basics of improv comedy, working with a scene partner and character development. Students will learn how to implement these improv techniques to benefit their stand up performance and be able to utilize these new tools when writing material for stand up and/or sketch.  Students should be prepared to participate in a fun and supportive environment.

About Brian Kohatsu

Brian Kohatsu started his comedy career in 2003 as co-host of The Hollywood Edge Radio Show.  Shortly after, he became the host of The BS Factor with Brian and Stephanie on All Comedy Radio in Phoenix.  Many of his sketches were picked up nationally by National Lampoon Radio on XM/Sirius.  Brian is a performer and co-founding member of the improv troupe The Improvonauts! He has also been the Artistic Director of The Mixed Nuts at Dramagenics Family Improv Theater and with Innappropriov at Waymire Studios.  Brian performs improv as well as stand up comedy in various clubs, corporate venues and charity events.  www.briankohatsu.com
